DEVELOPMENT AND ENVIRONMENT
This team is led by Eduardo Valenzuela and Piergiorgio Di Giminiani, and it has been dedicated to understanding the consecquences of economic-productive development plans and sociopolitical mediations that involve indigenous and non-indigenous actors throughout the country. This investigation line addresses social and economic conditions that produce and maintain inequalities that affect indigenous peoples and ethnic groups, and processes incited by market forces, state intervention and grassroots actions that contribute to marginalization and empowerment of these populations, as well as the differentiation within these communities.
