During recent years, many of the CIIR researchers have obtained financing from Fondo Nacional de Desarrollo Científico y Tecnológico, FONDECYT to develop their investigation projects. Developing research projects that contribute to understanding intercultural relations, promoting an interdisciplinary aproach in their addressing, is the primary goal of the CIIR. Within each one of their action lines, and also tranversaly to them, many investigations are made in areas such as Public Policies, Social Psychology, Archeqology, Genetics, Education, Linguistic revitalization, maternity and parenting, and Political Ecology, among others.
