Professor of English at the Universidad de La Frontera, with postgraduate courses at the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague (The Netherlands) and at the University of Regina (Canada). She holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, Iztapalapa UAM-I (Mexico) and a PhD in Linguistics from the University of Leiden (The Netherlands).
She has worked as a consultant and coordinator of projects, workshops and programs. She teaches Mapudungun and English in several schools.
She has carried out a dozen research projects on topics related to Mapudungun and the socio-cultural and linguistic situation of the school population of Arauco, Biobío Region.
She is one of the creators of the Intercultural Center for Research and Educational Transformation Rangin Wenu Mapu, approved by the Department Council and the Council of the Faculty of Humanities of the USACH.
