Ph.D. in anthropology, his interests are focused on the sociocultural significance attributed to the landscape and the political processes behind the control of natural resources. It has focused on legal land compensation processes to Mapuche communities and disputes and collaborations in forest conservation and resource use processes in southern Chile. Professor of the UC School of Anthropology.
