Viviana Huiliñir-Curío is a Geographer at the University of Concepción (Chile) and a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences from the University of La Frontera (Chile). In her work, she analyzes the various forms of mobility in mountain areas, with special attention in those related to the Mapuche people, in contexts of bordering the Andes mountain range and the globalization of rural areas. She has also been exploring the formation of alternate spaces in the Andes of southern Chile, through projects promoted by utopian migrants, along with the development of private conservation projects in this sector. She is currently a doctoral fellow of CIIR and a fellow of the BIO FulbrightProgram -CONICYT.
